The Paintings of
Stephen Ehret

The Water Paintings are inspired by my "landscape" on Richardson's Bay in Sausalito, where I've lived and worked for 40 years. Water reveals many faces as it moves through it's myriad moods, which I attempt to capture on canvas.

The Landscapes represent places in Marin County that have meaning for me. They are allegories of my experiences.

The Collaborations utilize the talents of Sonoma County artist Cynthia Franco
San Francisco artist Carol Satriani or
Belvedere artist Jennifer Francis Fearon
and myself, combining our individual insights to create one vision.

All of my paintings are autobiographical. Time and the flow of thoughts and emotions over that time are the essential ingredients.
